Members of Shalom Park Water Ski Club have access to one of the premiere private water skiing facilities in North America.
2009 Shalom Water Ski Club
Membership Fees
In 2009, Shalom Water Ski Club will:
Ø provide a driver for the membership during specified hours.
Ø limit the total number of members.
Ø discount student memberships by $125.
Ø Immediate Family Member Add-on prices:
15 and under -- $250
16 and over -- $550
Ø Guests are permitted to ski on your membership twice during the ski season.
***Shalom Park will be hosting the 2009 Canadian National Water Ski Championships August 10-15.
***Shalom Park will be hosting Worlds Team Training prior to the World Water Ski Championships in Calgary, August 3-9th, 2009
Silver Membership:
Skiing from Monday to Friday from sun-up until 6:00 pm (exception for silver memberships during day camps/training held at Shalom (these camps generally end at 4pm). Exception allows silver membership to ski until 7:15pm during camp/training weeks.
Membership fee: $650 including GST plus $175/hr boat time.
Gold
Membership:
Skiing any day, any time unless a function/training requires otherwise.
Membership fee: $975 including GST plus
$200/hr boat time.
90 Minute "too busy to" Ski Card: (approx. 8-12 runs) Limited number sold per season/one sold per customer. $350
One Ski Set (6 passes): $45.00
Ski Lessons: $ 65.00 for one, $120 for two
Water skiing on the tranquil waters of Shalom Park is an experience you must try whether you are a beginner or advanced skier or perhaps you don’t ski at all.
Love for the sport and a desire to share the experience with anyone means that Shalom Park provides opportunity to everyone.
If you want lessons, Ken Nelson, many times a National Champion and holder of several National Records, will coach you at any level and provide guidance to help you improve.
NEW KIDS ON THE WATER: June 1 & 8
Shalom Park has developed a beginner program for kids as young as 6 years of age - New Kids on the Water. This is a half day program for first time or very beginner kids 6 – 11 years of age. Participants will learn to water ski under the supervision of the Shalom Park Water Ski Club.
The program begins with a video on water ski safety and communication (hand signals). We allow a maximum of 12 children in any program. The fee is still only $40 and includes a hot dog lunch as well as the use of our wetsuits, lifejackets and skis.
The New Kids on the Water program is scheduled each year on the first weekend in JUNE with sessions both days in the morning and the afternoon. The REGISTRATION FORM may be copied and mailed in with your payment.
Morning Class
8:45 am - Registration. Please be on time.
9:00am - A half hour of instruction on water safety and water ski signals.
9:30am – 12:30pm - On the water instruction.
12:30pm - 1:00pm - Lunch.
Afternoon Class
11:45am - Registration. Please be on time.
12:00pm - 12:30 - Lunch.
12:30pm - 1:00pm - A half hour of instruction on water safety and water ski signals.
1:00pm - 4:00pm - On the water instruction.
KIDSKI PROGRAM
This program is designed for kids who know how to slalom ski and would like to improve with the intent of getting involved in competition water skiing. This is a 10 week program starting in May with some flexibility to accommodate your family's summer plans and weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATIONS
SHALOM PARK does offer onsite over night camping/motor homes for $20.00 a night. We do not have hook ups or shower facilities. All garbage must be carried out. Most set ups should be done west of the Banquet center in the large parking area and beyond. Out houses are available for use North of the dock, up the hill.
SHALOM PARK has 2 rooms for rent in the Banquet Hall with very basic accommodations. These rooms are reserved strictly for those who will be attending training/skiing functions. Use of the Banquet bathrooms is available to those who rent the room only and only during non-banquet hours.
Room 1: Has 2 Queen beds, large dresser/mirror and use of microwave and fridge. $150 a week or $60.00 a weekend.
Room 2: Has 1 single bed, couch, balcony and use of microwave and fridge. $100 a week or $50.00 a weekend.
