| 1985 – | Shalom Park Water Ski Site is the second Man-Made Private Water Ski Lake built in Canada. |
| 1996 – | Shalom Park hosted the Junior World Water Ski Championships. |
| 2015 – | Shalom Park Water Ski Site hosted the first Canadian Open Pro-Tour event. |
| 2019 – | Shalom Park hosted the U21 World Water Ski Championships and their second CanAm Challenge. |
| 2022 – | Shalom Park Water Ski Site is host to the JR. Canadian Open and the 2022 Canadian National Water Ski Championships. |
Our staff
Kristy Kraus
Kristy has been in the ski industry her entire life, skiing on multiple teams for Canada as well as holding multiple national records. Kristy has had the pleasure of coaching the Alberta Water Ski Team over the years as well as her own kids and is daughter to Canadian Water Ski Legend, and owner of Shalom Park, Ken Nelson.
What's Going on 2023
Evan Kraus
Evan is a tough act to follow. Evan knows his technique and has a very sharp eye. You will enjoy getting coached by Evan. If you invest in him, he will invest in you. He loves his proteges. Evan is a memeber on the Jr. National Team and is a student and Ragin Cajun Team member at the University of Louisiana Lafayette.
Evan has been a member of both CanAm, PanAm teams, U17 Worlds and U21 Worlds.
Sean Kraus
Sean knows his skiing, whether slalom, trick or jump, skiers respond to his positive approach. Sean is both driver and coach. He will be happy to sit quiet if that is your preference or if you'd like him to provide coaching he is always eager to help. Sean attends University of Louisiana Lafayette and skis collegiately on their team.
Sean is a member of the Jr. National Team and skied in CanAms, Pan Ams, Junior Worlds 2018, U21 Worlds 2019, U21 Worlds 2021, and Elite Worlds 2021

Ken Nelson
Ken Nelson has been around water skiing most of his life. He has been a builder throughout the water ski community in Canada, having hosted multiple National and International events at his man-made, self-designed ski lake, Shalom Park. Ken holds multiple national records and still loves to coach, ski and simply be a part of this amazing community of water skiers.
Our History
Dedicated coaching combined with a fun environment can make all the difference. At Shalom Park, we produce a ski experience that will keep your kid coming back for years. Your athlete will rave about their summer when they spend it water skiing with Shalom Park Water Ski Site.
Shalom Park has offered Learn to Ski programs for +25 years and has taught more than 2,000 young & old to water ski and build self-confidence. No prior skiing experience is necessary.
